  • Acrylic Polymer dispersion for waterproofing coating

    Description:

    A polymer for making a cement based polymer modified waterproofing slurry coating. It is applied to concrete and mortar structures to prevent water infiltration and dampness.

    Uses:

    Its used for external and internal waterproofing, damp proofing, hairline crack sealing, and protection from chloride in the following structures:-

    • Water – tanks982a2112
    • Basements
    • Terraces and balconies
    • Bridges
    • Retaining Walls
    • Sea Walls
    • Small Flat Roofs
    • Abrasion resistant lining for Silos etc.

    Advantages:

    It provides the following beneficial properties :

    Coverage:

    Depending on type of application, 2 coats are always required. Consumption of ADDCON Rainproof is 0.3kg/m for two coats; manly two coats should be applied. In extreme cases three coats may be required.

     Instructions for Use

    Surface Preparation:

    Concrete, mortar and masonry surface must be clean, free from grease, oil and loosely adhering particles. Steel and iron surfaces must be free from scale, rust, grease and oil. All surface must be as true and flat as possible. Saturate absorbent surface thoroughly. Efficient surface preparation is essential to achieve high adhesive quality of the product.

    Mixing:

    A pre batched mixture of good quality cement should be mixed with ADDCON Rainproof in proportion of one part of ADDCON Rainproof to two parts of white cement mix to form a slurry. For brush able consistency and putty, the proportions of ADDCON Rainproof should be reduced accordingly. The mixing of slurry should be done in a clean container by slowly adding the powder component to ADDCON Rainproof and stirring with a slow speed mixer (500 – 600 rpm). Mixing should be done until the consistency is free from lumps.

    Application:

    Dampen all surfaces immediately ahead of the slurry application. Whilst the surface is still damp from saturation, apply the first coat and leave to harden (2-6 hrs.). For slurry consistency apply with a hard plastic bristled brush or broom.

    Curing:

    As with all cement based products, curing is important. Protect the freshly applied product against direct sunlight and strong winds. Use damp hessian or polythene to aid curing, for 3 days. Then allow to dry out.

    Cleaning:

    Do not leave material to harden before cleaning tools and equipment with water. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

    Handling Precautions

    Addcon Products are generally quite harmless, provided certain precautions are taken for handling chemicals. Avoid contact with foodstuff and food utensils. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Wear protective clothing, gloves etc. (barrier cream). In the event of contamination, wash thoroughly with water. If the eye or mouth is affected, wash with clean water immediately and obtain medical attention.

  • APP Modified Bituminous Membranes

    Description:

    APP modified Bituminous Polyester reinforced waterproofing membrane manufactured from a rich mixture of bitumen and selected polymers blended together to obtain excellent heat resistant, flexibility, UV resistance. Modified bitumen then coated onto a dimensionally stable carrier to obtain excellent tensile strength, tear and puncture resistance.

    Uses:

    It is used as waterproofing /damproofing membrane for protection of various substrates in wide range of applications.

    Instruction For Use

    Application procedure may vary slightly depending upon site conditions. However given below are general guidelines.

    Surface preparation

    Concrete, mortar surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil, and loosely adhering particles. Steel and iron surfaces must be free from scale, rust, grease and oil. All surfaces must be as true as possible.

    Application:

    Apply bituminous primer to a clean, smooth and dry surface by brush, roller or spray. Unroll and align and re roll correctly before torching. Overlaps should be minimum 100mm.Use gas burner to heat the substrate and thermo fusible film on the underside on lower face of membrane. When the thermo- fusible film melts after torching, the membrane is ready to stick. Roll forward and press firmly against the substrate to bond. Heat both the overlaps and use the round tipped trowel heating the same to smoothen and press into seam.
    All angles and abutments should be sealed with extra care to ensure full bondage. The edges should be sealed well into the grooves.

    Storage

    Should be stored Vertically in clean covered one. Rolls should be etched.

    Safety Precautions

    Any naked flame should be kept well away from the gas cylinders. When ignited the torch should not be rested on finished treated area. Extreme care should be taken when working near combustible materials or items must be scorched by gas flame.

  • Silane-Siloxane Based Water-Repellent Impregnation

    Description:

    ADDCON WRSS is a dilatable impregnation for cementitious & Stone cladded substrate to impart water repellency. It impregnates into the open pores of the substrate to stop water absorption maintaining the breathing character of the structure.

    • Improves resistance to frost and de-icing salts
    • Transparent surface treatment
    • No efflorescence
    • No dirt penetration
    • Reduces the growth of algae and fungi

     Instructions for Use

    All surfaces must be clean and free from loosely adhering particles. Where pores are blocked, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned.

    Application:

    Mix the whole quantities of the two parts supplied in the Combipack,i.e.ADDCON WRSS base and ADDCON WRSS Activator, in a suitable vessel .Rinse the container of ADDCON WRSS Base with the mixed liquid which shall have a cloudy appearance. Apply the mixed liquid with brush on the prepared surface. Repeat application in Wet on Wet condition. Use the mixed material on the same day. Do not apply when rain is imminent.
    The mixed material may be further mixed with clean water, up to 400ml., for highly porous substrates. The appearance will be transparent.
